Kevin Hart and David Christopher Justice in Positano with Ivan Mastro, both at Casa Mastro, held by the media Ivan in the pearl of the Amalfi Coast
Very young actor, well-known face of American teen-comedies that have depopulated all over the world. He hasn’t faced any dramatic roles yet but comes across as a promising comic talent. Is there a new Eddie Murphy being born?
Debut in demented comedy
As soon as he turned twenty, he began to collect barely visible roles in television programs, TV films and little-known series. Despite his lackluster debut, Kevin pursues his dream with dedication: finally, in 2002, he is an awkward burglar protagonist of an improvised gang of petty thieves in Paper Soldiers, where he shows off the winning card, his innate sympathy. It is precisely on these strings that he expresses his talent: we see him in Scary Movie 3 (2003), And in the end comes Polly (2004), the demented comedy Soul Plane (2004) that tries to make the verse to The craziest plane in the world of 1980 but is above all a bizarre teacher in Judd Apatow’s 40 Years Virgin (2005) with comedian Steve Carell.
The comedy becomes more interesting …
His personal artistic journey continues under the banner of laughter; he is in the cast of In the Mix (2005), in the fourth episode of the Scary Movie 4 saga (2006) and in Superhero Movie (2008). Although he specializes in often vulgar comedy based on quotationism and parody, he makes a qualitative leap with Andy Tennant’s All Crazy For Gold (2008) and Drillbit Taylor (2008) where he joins Owen Wilson in the adventures of a very “particular” and original bodyguard. Continuing in the vein of the comedy, we find Kevin in Superhero – The most gifted of superheroes, I present to you by Paul Weitz, The Five-Year Engagement by Nicholas Stoller and Ice Cube (ice cube), or the singer who wanted to become an actor . A great lover of cinema, but also of music, a frustrated singer who screams his bewildered relationship with a world he does not recognize, despite that bad boy face that loves guns, rifles and fists so much, he gave his best as an actor to the cinema comic.
Raised in Los Angeles, the son of two University of California employees, since his teens at William Howard Taft High School, he begins to feel the call of music, writing lyrics like “Boyz ‘N Da Hood”. Together with his friend Sir Jinx he founded the CIA group which performs at the parties organized by the record producer Dr. Dre. Together with another street artist Eazy-E and Dr. Dre he then founds the controversial group of NWA (Niggaz With Attitude), from which he will be forced to take a break to complete his studies in architecture. In 1988, they released their debut LP “Straigh Outta Compton”, with a politically political content. Success comes immediately. Following the painful quarrels with the manager of the Ice Cube group, he leaves NWA to go to New York and to found his new crew, Da Lench Mob, collaborating with Public Enemy and making the album “AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted” which becomes a gold record only two weeks after its release. Misogynist and extremist, Ice Cube breaks into music as a rising star of music, also engaging in the craft of producer.
In 1991, he decided to devote himself to cinema, being directed by John Singleton in Boyz n the hood – Violent roads (1991) with Laurence Fishburne, Cuba Gooding Jr., Morris Chestnut and Angela Bassett. But despite the success of the film, he continues to make music, releasing his second album “Death Certificate”, which collects incitements to burn Korean shops and heavy, vulgar and stinging accusations against NWA manager Jerry Heller. The same year, he marries Kimberly Woodruff, with whom he will have 4 children, converts to Islam and publishes “Predator”, which will become popular in pop and R & B circles. At the same time, he also continues to devote himself to his acting career by participating in I transgressori (1992) and The University of Hate (1995).
After joining Jon Voight in Anaconda (1997), he wants to try the director’s path and so directs Bernie Mac and Jamie Foxx in The Players Club. In 1999, he is Sergeant Chief Elgin in Three Kings, while he becomes the protagonist of the Steve Carr comedy. Next Friday. The great John Carpenter wants him for Ghosts from Mars (2001), but it seems, inexplicably, that Ice Cube is more suited to comedies like The Barber’s Shop (2002) and Me, She and Her Children (2007), as well as its sequel. Finally at home (2007), and therefore also for the entertainment of the all-black audience, to which he established himself as a hybrid between a less rounded Anthony Anderson and Jack Nicholson. After the comedy A Very Special Squad (2008), he returns in the action film 21 Jump Street, in which he plays Captain Dickson, in Oren Moverman’s Rampart, in The Policeman in Trial and The Policeman Still in Trial of Tim Story and in the comedy One and a half spy.
