OSS 17: Cairo spy nest and OSS 117: Rio no longer responds
Find Hubert Bonisseur de la Bath in the first two episodes of OSS 117. These comic films, parodies of James Bond, feature an incredibly funny Jean Dujardin in the role of this spy full of stereotypes, but ultimately so endearing. Don’t miss one of the most hilarious sagas of French cinema.
The first opus takes place in Egypt, where OSS 117 is responsible for restoring order in the city of Cairo, in the hands of spies since the fall of Nasser. There he will meet Larmina El Akmar Betouche, camped by a stunning Bérénice Bejo.
The second part, 12 years after the first, sends Hubert on a secret mission to Rio de Janeiro to recover a precious microfilm, stolen by a former Nazi soldier. But during his mission, he attracts the attention of the Israeli secret services…
Let yourself be tempted by a marathon in the heart of the incredible adventures of your favorite French secret agent. The two feature films have been available since November 4 on Disney +.
Venom by Ruben Fleischer
Taken from the comics of the same name, this film features Spider-Man’s sworn enemy: Venom. Simple investigative journalist, Eddie Brock is not a villain. On the contrary, his job leads him to lay his hands on the worst scoundrels on the planet. His latest investigation: interviewing Carlton Drake, a mysterious businessman accused of exploiting human guinea pigs in his experiments. During his investigation, he comes into contact with an extraterrestrial symbiote: little by little, this being from elsewhere will take possession of his body, multiply his forces to push him to do Evil.
You will find a specialist in blockbusters, Tom Hardy, in the role of Eddie Brock, one of the most enigmatic characters of the Marvel universe. Anne Weying, his fiancée, played by Michelle Williams, accompanies him to the casting.
Immerse yourself in one of the darkest Marvels, in this first installment of the “Sony’s Spider-Man” universe, which now includes two new opuses: “Venom: Let there be Carnage” with “Morbius”. To watch from November 4 on the Disney + channel.
Nomadland by Chloe Zhao
Little nugget to discover urgently if you missed it at the cinema: this three-Oscar feature film (best film, best director and best actress) immerses us in the touching story of Fern, brutally confronted with poverty, who decides to embark on a trip to the American West. She takes to the road in her van and gradually adopts the lifestyle of nomads, completely breaking with today’s society.
This very beautiful critical program of America denounces the economic crisis of 2008 which put thousands of people in a precarious situation. We find, at the top of the bill, the sublime Frances McDormand (“Three Billboards”, “Fargo”), breathtaking in this role of outsider so endearing. Director Chloé Zaho (“The Eternals”, “The Rider”) offers us an image of the United States rarely shown in cinema: poetic landscapes, a simplicity of life in a poignant road movie, available from November 11 on Disney +.
Our Happy Days by Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano
Attention, cult film with one of the first comedies by Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano. Go on a camp with the merry troupe led by Vincent Rousseau, who is trying his hand at the job of summer camp director for the first time. Difficult teenagers, lazy animators, surprise visit from youth and sport: the holidays are going to be more hectic than expected.
A 5-star cast with Jean-Paul Rouve, inexperienced colony leader, Marylou Berry with Omar Sy in the comic roles of the two not always professional animators. The directors of “Intouchables” and “Sens de la fête” offer a light, funny vision of summer camps, and take a touching look at the exchanges between adults and children.
Between small daily hassles, but also bigger worries, dive into the heart of the daily life of the camp from November 11 on the channel.
Once Upon a Time 2 by Adam Shankman
