Bradley Cooper has not finished surprising us. The forty-seven-year-old American actor, known for his role as playboy in the provocative trilogy very bad trip by director Todd Phillips, becomes this return to Louis Vuitton muse for the 20th anniversary of the iconic Tambour watch. However, nothing predestined the actor to integrate, alongside the cult British singer David Bowie in 2013 and the French actor Tahar Rahim in 2021, the prestigious pantheon of his muses.
Bartender with the iconic spiky cut of the 2000s, in Bending All The Rules (2002), burlesque martial arts coach on behalf of Bradley Cooper blue eyes in parody documentary Brother’s Justice (2010), we discovered the actor in schoolboy comedy roles bordering on parody and far from the glamorous image we know him today. It’s in the heartbreaking role of Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle in american sniper (2015), by director Clint Eastwood, that Bradley Cooper unveils an acting game of disturbing accuracy.
In 2018, he went behind the camera for the first time with A star is born. Giving the reply to Lady Gaga, who reveals herself as an actress in the role of Ally, – for which she also won the Oscar for best original song in 2019 – he plays the role of Jackson Maine, country star in prey to numerous addictions. The on-screen romance of the duo bringing together the world-famous pop star and the Hollywood actor is then the object of all fantasies, and causes many rumors. More recently, he directed and co-wrote the biopic Maestro, recounting the marriage of the American composer Léonard Bernstein, whom he will play, with the Chilean actress Felica Montealegre. Nominated nine times for the Oscars, including three times in the Best Actor category, in 2013 for his role alongside Jennifer Lawrence in happiness therapy (2013), in 2015 for her role in American Sniper (2015) with British-American actress Sienna Miller, and in 2019 for her role in A Star is Born (2018), Bradley Cooper conquered Hollywood. Today is the turn of the fashion world.
The House Louis Vuitton thus chose the actor to be the face of his Drum watchto celebrate the 20th anniversary of the icon of its watch collection. Created in 2002, it is inspired by the shape of the drum and offers a model where the dial is adorned with the twelve letters of the house, replacing the numbers. The Tambour Twenty takes up the codes of this classic of Louis Vuitton watchmaking, including the flared case and the brown dial, which it updates with state-of-the-art mechanics and an engraving specifying, on the back, the mention limited edition of 200 pieces in back. The black and white portraits of Irish photographer Boo George immortalize the subtle alliance between simplicity and elegance of the watch, while in the video produced by Oscar-winning director Damien Chazelle, to whom we owe whiplash (2014) and La La Land (2016), we follow Bradley Cooper on a journey between tropical jungle and urban jungle. As the face of the Louis Vuitton brand, he joined many celebrities like Léa Seydoux, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez and Kate Moss.
