This year again, Occitania will vibrate to the sound of guitars. With more than 70 luthiers out of the 450 in the country, Occitanie is the leading guitar region in France.
Attached to the International Guitar Festival, which takes place from September 16 to October 19, the 25th International Guitar Violin Making Show takes place at the Cité de Toulouse on the weekend of September 17 and 18.
It is an opportunity to discover a hundred exhibitors who have come to present and sell their creations, but also to discover the latest innovations in the field. Also on the program: Initiations, workshops, concerts and masterclasses for this show which honors women with in particular Nina Attal, godmother of this anniversary section.

Kick off for the 27th International Guitar Festival
Until October 19, the 27th International Guitar Festival deploys its program of eclectic music.
Flamenco, jazz, world music, rock, folk, blues and other contemporary music… there’s something for everyone.
The festival will be deployed from Toulouse to Lunel and from Marvejols to Rivesaltes with around twenty concerts. Our favorite goes to the musical marathon “Les 24 heures dément(es)”, from October 8th and 9th.
An original concept that offers a discovery of Montpellier in the form of an unusual musical journey in intimate and remarkable places! A marathon of 10 eclectic concerts from 10 a.m. on Saturday until a finish at Peyrou on Sunday morning, free entry. And this year, four groups on the route will pay tribute to Georges Brassens by reinterpreting in their own way the repertoire of the Sète poet for his 100th birthday.
The list of concerts and the ticket office are available on the festival website les-ig.com
Greenland International Film Festival, September 19-25
Head for Toulouse, where a satirical, iconoclastic, utopian and joyful event will take place from September 19 to 25… The 11th Figrot, the Groland International Film Festival.
This Festival echoes the program “Groland” which since 1992 has parodied society and current events in the world, in an offbeat tone around an imaginary country: La Présipauté Grolandaise.
And the Fifgrot gives that…
This edition will also be marked by the celebration of Groland’s 30th anniversary! For this, the Figrot invades the dark rooms of Toulouse, offering dozens of previews, rare or unseen films, quirky nuggets with crazy humor; all accompanied by shows, performances, street theatre, concerts, exhibitions and literary encounters….
The festival village awaits you every day at Port Viguerie, in the heart of Toulouse and if you want to discover all the festival programming… only one address: fifigrot.com
A little prince among the men at the flight of the Pioneers of Toulouse
Finally, we are staying in Toulouse to talk about a drawing lover known all over the world for one of his works, which we are celebrating in 2022, the 75th anniversary of its publication in France.
This is the exhibition “Antoine de Saint Exupéry, a Little Prince among Men” which is renewed on the historic grounds of the airmail, at the Envol des Pionniers de Toulouse. The exhibition which celebrates the 120th anniversary of the writer, invites you to rediscover his life as an aviator and journalist with great reinforcements of unpublished documents, audio extracts or even videos… and plunges the visitor into the wonderful world of his famous Little Prince…
So if you’re tempted by a little return to childhood, you have until November 6 to go to L’envol des Pionniers.
All the information awaits you on the site lenvol-des-pionniers.com
