The autodrome of Portimao is preparing to host the Portuguese Grand Prix from MotoGP. Built in the extreme southwest of the Lusitanian country, the track is particularly spectacular and appreciated by the pilots, being full of ups and downs and curves to be covered in full. In some ways it can be defined as a parody (in the good sense of the term) of the Mugello.

Today’s round will be the fifth round of a season whose world standings would have been impossible to predict. Currently the World Cup is led by Enea Bastianini with 61 points, followed by Alex Rins (56), Alex Espargarò (50), Joan Mir (46), Fabio Quartararo (44) and Brad Binder (42). Interestingly, none of the three favorites for the title has yet won a race. Quartararo at least boasts a place of honor, Marc Marquez (21 points) has the extenuating circumstance of two games missed, while Francesco Bagnaia (23) has not yet managed to express himself properly on the saddle of the 2022 version of the Desmosedici.
More defined hierarchies in the lower classes. In Moto2 command Celestine Vietti with 70 dots, followed by Ai Ogur (56), Tony Arbolino (54), Aron Canet (49) and Somkiat Chantra (45). Instead in Moto3 there is Dennis Foggia (74) who could try to escape against Sergio Garcia (58), while Andrew Migno is third with 41. What will happen in Portugal? It will be enough to find out follow the race on TV. How?
