Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, Joni Mitchell, BTS and more are donating items for an auction to benefit Musicares.
Julien’s Auctions charity auction, which will take place ahead of the 2023 Grammy Awards, features dozens of items, ranging from guitars signed by Taylor Swift, Harry Styles and Fleetwood Mac to an exclusive BTS J-Hope outfit and Eminem’s white Nike Air Max.
Proceeds from the auction will be donated to MusiCares, a Recording Academy nonprofit that aims to provide human and health services to people working in the music industry. Julien’s Auctions will organize the event livet on his website on Sunday, February 5, before the awards ceremony which will take place that evening.
Swift provided an Epiphone acoustic guitar Evermore, while Styles donated a black 2020 Fender player series Stratocaster electric guitar inscribed ” always love “. Guitars signed by Bob Dylan (a black acoustic Epiphone) and Joni Mitchell (a Gibson acoustic Hummingbird) are also offered.
Paintings by David Lee Roth, Rob Prior and Ronnie Wood will also be available. These original works feature Joni Mitchell (with his own brushstrokes), George Harrison and the Rolling Stones.
In addition to J-Hope’s outfit for the album photoshoot jack in the box, Julien’s Auctions will offer the opportunity to bid on outfits from Olivia Rodrigo during her Glastonbury Festival appearance in 2022, Katy Perry during her FIFA Live performance and Cher during the 2018 Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras celebration in Sydney, Australia.
Other items will be auctioned including signed instruments, records, hand written song lyrics and other items donated by Snoop Dogg, Barbra Streisand, Daft Punk, Depeche Mode, Don Felder, Elton John, Jimmy Buffett, Joe Perry, Jon Batiste, Lenny Kravitz, Miranda Lambert, Ozzy Osbourne, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, Robert Plant, The Rolling Stones, Selena Gomez, Shaggy, Slash, Slipknot, Sting, Tom Petty, The Who, etc.
A public exhibition will be open from Wednesday February 1 to Friday February 3 at Julien’s Auctions. Items up for auction are worth between $600 and $20,000.
