A unique presence and tone. Alain Chabat is one of those animators with an inimitable style. This jack of all trades, sometimes actor, sometimes director or animator of Burger Quiz will have a new window of expression on television. TF1 has just announced, through a video broadcast on social networksthat the former Dummies member was going to be”starting soon“, at the head of a new daily program. The channel gave very little information, except that the program will be called the Late Show and will soon be on the air every evening from 11:00 p.m.

A parody of Charles III as a trailer for Alain Chabat

TF1 shared a funny sketch as the program announcement: a hilarious parody of recent controversial video footage in which Charles III rails against a leaky pen when signing official documents. Alain Chabat, visibly lost and disillusioned, settles down in turn at a desk. Around him stand three individuals, including Jamel Debbouze (in the role of assistant) and Léa Drucker (who apes Camilla). “Ok, do I have to put on noon?“, he breaks the ice as he signs a press release announcing his future Late Show. “No 11:00 p.m. sir“, replies Jamel, one of the three protagonists present behind him. The rest of the announcement takes place in a funny atmosphere during which the host of Burger Quiz ends up getting upset because the pen with which he has to sign his contract ends up staining his fingers. “They didn’t iron my shoelaces this morning, I knew it was going to be a shitty day. If I don’t have a pen, what do I sign with? With my dick?” loose Alain Chabat, making fun of the supposed whims of the son of Elizabeth II. The schoolboy tone is posed in the teaser to discover below.

A still mysterious concept for Alain Chabat’s Late Show

Nothing has yet been clarified about the content of the show. Its name, however, is ambiguous. A Late Show is an American-style talk show mixing humor, sketches, parodies and interviews with celebrities. The master of the genre being Jimmy Fallon, animator-star in the United States. The French version should be strongly inspired by it. No broadcast date has been announced, but if the show starts at 11:00 p.m., it’s hard to imagine the channel splitting its (very) late flagship programs like Mask Singer Where Dance with the stars. It could therefore be that the impatient and the fans ofAlain Chabat have to wait for the arrival of the Football World Cup, from November 20. The number of shows per week was also not indicated. “For a series of exceptional programs“only specifies the press release and”every day“which can very quickly exclude Fridays and weekends…
